picnic in the park & thoughts on writing

My South American sister Consuelo and I had a Valentine's Day picnic in the park yesterday. There's a lot of debate over V-Day. As usual, I see both sides. I don't really want a lover giving me colored cardboard out of capitalist force - but a day dedicated to making out is fine by me. i want to wrap you up & give you kisses

With a mix of immigrant and revolutionary history... we're about as Yank as they come. Considering that my personal belief is people are all...

my beautiful blog family & word reactions

I didn't sleep last night. Around 3.30 this morning I mentioned my sleeplessness on Twitter and two Poets in two different countries sent a 'hello...' And it made me feel so much better than I was... Not only am I meeting amazing people all over the world through my page, I'm receiving reactions to my work... real reactions. Instead of a faceless publisher sending a photocopied letter that says 'Thanks but no thanks' with no elaboration......
