aren’t you that girl… from australia… ?

This was the fabulous first phrase anyone spoke to me this morning. I rolled off the couch around eight. I wandered down to the Starbucks on Steinway in Astoria; a spot that I took a liking to when I was working last summer. It's where I did most of the Poetry: Volume One edits. Considering I missed the back cover last time... I should probably find a new place to edit Volume Two. Never the less... I approach the coffee bench with all of my gear...

i’m back in new york city… i love your work

I woke up this morning on a couch in Queens. Ten minutes later I was on the subway. Fifteen minutes after that I was in midtown. Somehow in the middle of the Puerto Rican Day Parade. I smiled at people in the street. Every single one of my senses devoured the city. I wrote poetry. I beamed from ear to ear. I belong here. Oh! And do you know what else happened today? I've lived in Australia for eight years. I've seen a lot of bands. I've heard about...

spinning from spoken. rock of ages.

Namaste blog family I'm still a bit floaty after putting together my first spoken clip yesterday. I woke up in the morning and realized I could edit stills into video; came across some CDs I haven't listened to in ages as operation house re-vamp continues; and picked a piece of a poem at random to read. The love and feedback I've received is incredible. Something quite magical about it is that some of our tribal clan have been following my work...
