Merry Christmas and/or Happy Love Day to everyone celebrating a holiday of sorts! And winter blown kisses to everyone else who isn’t! x
I woke up to a mother making pignoli cookies and phones ringing with sisters checking in about nieces and nephews jumping around in joy of goodies.
Boxing Day is where it’s at this year at our house! Tomorrow is when the sisters take over. Today… quiet celebrations with 2 of 5 and a set of parents have already kicked off.
This is the third Christmas at FollowMeToNYC. During 2009 I prepared for my first Christmas with my family in a few years. Last year I was in the middle of the worst period of life I’ve endured. I didn’t even mention the holiday. There was no tree. There was no family. There was yelling. There was lying.
This year is much better!
I’m working on books. The 24-hour A Christmas Story marathon is playing in the background amongst the chirp of family and scent of cookies.
Today will also involve running down the street to spend time with my other family, whose house I’ve been frequenting since around age five.
