Dear blog family
Today kicks of YEAR TWO of FollowMeToNYC in action. Obviously I’ve diced my idea of featuring a novel here this year… I’m kind of digging the site as track of my up-to-s as a Writer.
The fact that the premier of the Writers’ Night I am MCing in Astoria happens to fall on day one of year two of this mission is incredible, especially considering the night was supposed to start last week but got pushed ahead.
I’ve met three people in the past three days that have said I inspire them. Connecting with Artists that way completes my purpose. I’ve learned this about myself through all off the madness I’ve tracked over the past 365 days (straight). There is no greater satisfaction in life, to me as a Writer, than inspiring creativity in others and bringing together the collective.
… which is hopefully what’s going to happen tonight.
Yesterday I had the pleasure of meetingMia Rebel and I have been grooving to her soul all morning with “Some of You” on repeat. She is even more beautiful in person (if you can believe that possible) and I am hoping she is going to come smoke hookahs with us tonight like she was saying she would yesterday. Perhaps spoil us as a future musical feature of the Writers’ Night?
Tonight’s performance is by the most talented SoleGC bumping tracks of the Writers EP!! He’ll be doing Tape Rock and some other hot joints to bounce to.
I feel insanely excited, slightly nauseous, somewhat ready, and a bit like I’m floating.
