I’ve been yakking since 2010 about how I heart social media. Here is my social media story of today… with photos:
This morning I was wandering Peanut through Central Park, as we do every day, when I snapped a lovely click of The Plaza.
I have many special reasons for hearting The Plaza. Special memories. Like writing poetry on honeymoon with husband two… before it went pear-shaped. And attending a charity gala with my bestie.
I digress.
So I got home from the park, blogged and drank coffee. On my way to work… I took a photo of a pair of posters for the new Gatsby movie that caught my eye.
Through a sequence of Instagram goodness, I learn about The Plaza giving away a pair of tickets to The Gatsby premiere. And if you want to be down, you either a) take a shot from the film’s era or b) submit a picture of yourself in front of the hotel. Whack it on Instagram with #ThePlazaPremiere.
Alas, here are my entries all shot today. Some during my lunch break, one after work. Naturally the one of Peanut is my favorite since she is the prettiest, but I think I equally adore the photo of a lovely doorman, taken by an equally lovely doorman, who were more than obliged to help me with my mission to score a pair of movie tickets complete with night’s stay at one of the illest haunts in town. I <3 social media that makes me do fun things…
