I’ve been laying low. All kinds of crazies have occurred over the past four days. Pages have poured. Australians arrived. I signed a lease.
I move TODAY!
I’ve also been spending a lot of time marveling at my husband lately. I couldn’t help but stretch a press-lipped grin when one of my sisters from the southern hemisphere squeezed me and confirmed, “So wait. You’re seriously married?”
I have been back in the country for one year today. To think that six months after I arrived, the person I’m going to spend the rest of this life with came strolling across midtown and reset life… well…
It’s pretty wonderful, actually.
We’ve been awake since 4am. I drank the most delicious cinnamon coffee. Tim is taking photos of the sunrise. My floor is covered in books, because besides clothes and a computer, there’s nothing else to pack for the move. The apartment I’ve been in came fully furnished, so we’re literally moving into a completely blank canvas.
The first six months I spent back in town I was reeling from a hideous breakup, the second six I started a brand new job and kicked off life with an amazing young man who I adore beyond bewilderment – and we’re moving into our first “official official” place today. Exactly one year after I returned from roughly a decade overseas.
And the puppies are coming…
Wow… one year already… too fast! How exciting to see your Aussie sisters… wish I were there to share the space… sounds like you are on track with more changes in the wind. Lovely to read that you are happy. Much love. xoxo
I wish you were here too Cos! You would appreciate the tiny patch of green sprawling with veggie patches that I’ve somehow hustled in this wonderful town 🙂 You know me, always on the move. Miss you! love & light x
